SCCOA Receive Generous Support from SCCF

On August 21, 2025, Executive Director Jami Stout and Office Manager Cheryl Norris attended the Steuben County Community Foundation’s Annual Meeting, held at The Steuben County Event Center over a delicious lunch catered by Salvatori's.  It was an inspiring event celebrating the impact of philanthropy across our county.

SCCF proudly distributed over $375,000 in grants to local nonprofits part of the $3.7 million awarded this past fiscal year to support causes that matter. With $59 million in charitable assets and $1.2 million raised from over 400 donors, the Foundation continues to be a powerful force for good in Steuben County.

We are deeply grateful to share that:

The Heritage Club received $9,622.46 in designated grants from:

  • The Bob and Janet Barge Fund
  • The Jack and Anita Dierkes Memorial Fund
  • The John D. Crone Memorial Steuben County Council on Aging Operating Fund
  • The Shirley & Maryjayne Dean Memorial Fund
  • The Steuben County Council on Aging Operating Fund
  • The Vern G. & Mary Jane Hornbacher – Council on Aging Fund

STAR Transportation received $38,223.88 in designated grants from:

  • The Angola Lions Club Legacy Fund
  • The Steuben County Council on Aging Transportation Fund
  • The Martha Rogers Fund

These generous gifts help us continue to serve seniors in our community and provide accessible public transportation throughout Steuben County. We are honored to be part of a network of nonprofits working together to make a difference.

Thank you to SCCF and all the donors who make this work possible. Your support helps us turn resources into real change.
